We have a compact kitchen, and although I am seriously fortunate to have a double sink, I get an ever so slight tinge of irritation when the kitchen sponge to sitting in the sink, somewhat wet, and on its way to becoming rather beastly.
Solution: a sponge/scrubby holder that provides a place to stow a sponge and give it an opportunity to dry and air-out.
I’ve made some with a little attached dish for folks that have space on their counter and others without the dish so they fit in the most narrow section between the kitchen sink and the wall, just under the kitchen window to keep that sponge in the light to help it dry, and stay fresh and clean.
Ah, the simple pleasures of a fine smelling kitchen sponge!
Dimensions: approximately 3.5″ T X 3″W (without the attached dish), 5″W (with attached dish)
All are hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel in one piece and hand trimmed. Variations occur in size, just a little possible sway, and the glazes I use include many layers of different colors, all hand brushed. Expect variation, love that your pot will have it’s own unique character and charm – just like you.
These pots are made with non-toxic clay and glazes. They are made to be used and, with care, can last a lifetime. Please don’t shock the pots with drastic temperature changes, sudden impacts, metal utensils or harsh chemicals. Please consider pottery can scratch some surfaces. Dishwasher safe. Not recommended for stovetop.
